Hi, I’m Sze Nooi — welcome to my little crafting corner!
I’m an architect not to be 😄 Let’s not get into my actual profession—this space is all about yarn, creativity, and handmade joy.
I’ve loved crafting since I was a little girl and taught myself how to crochet and knit. Like many, I put it aside during college and university, almost forgetting how much I loved it. Years later, while thinking of a meaningful gift for a friend’s newborn, I remembered: I can crochet!
With limited time, I made a tiny pair of baby shoes—and from that moment, I picked up my hooks and needles again, and haven’t stopped since.
That one small project re-sparked a passion in me. Through books and online resources, I slowly grew what is now this little handmade space. I started accepting custom orders—especially baby items—and I also found joy in sharing what I’ve learned. That’s how this blog began: a space to document my projects, offer tips, and share patterns for fellow DIY lovers.
I learn best through charts, but I now write out patterns too so more people can enjoy them.
English is not my first language, and while I’m still learning, I do my best to write clearly and appreciate your understanding and support.
A bit more about me: I met my husband, Lewis, when we were colleagues—but we didn’t become a couple until after we’d both left the company. I’m the youngest of six, with one sister and four brothers. Our family has grown big and warm over the years—now I’m an aunt to 5 nephews and 4 nieces. 😊
Thanks for visiting—I hope you find something here that inspires you to make, learn, or simply enjoy the beauty of handmade.
